LOG HOME MAINTENANCE TIP OF THE MONTH

Tip of the Month - May 2008

Check Underground sprinkling systems!

During spring start-ups of sprinkler systems check all sprinkler heads to make sure no water comes in contact with the house. In high wind areas you should not use any heads close to the house.

All plants close to the house should be watered using trickle irrigation lines.

Change all hose gaskets for the season to assure there is no waterspraying against the house from a bad connection at water outlets.

All plants should be trimmed back tohave atwo foot clearance from the logs for air movement. This allows the logs to dry quickly from morning dew and rain.
