| LOG HOME REPAIR IN
SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES |
|
If you live in the Southeastern United States and need log
repair services, we can help! With high humidity and tropical
rain storms the Southeast can be a touch place for a log home.
Keeping a dry climate should be your number one priority during
much of the year. If you see signs of mold or mildew, contact
a professional immediately!
Natural occurrences to watch:
- Sun. Because the sun has a
natural effect on your logs, be sure to have UV protecting
stain applied to your log home. Pay close attention to the
west and south sides of your log home / cabin, as these
angles are likely to get the most sun exposure.
- Water. Like the sun, water
also has a natural effect on your logs. Watch the amount
of water that splashes on your lower logs during rain storms.
Excessive water runoff will cause dirt to collect and keep
your logs damp and more susceptible to log rot, insects,
or black mold.
- Wind. The windy side of your
log home will drive rain directly into your logs as well.
- Together. Combine all these
natural occurrences with a lack of maintenance and you're
in trouble. Be sure to keep a maintenance schedule and keep
your log home as beautiful as the day it was built!
